If you want to check out before 7 am, please settle your accommodation fee on a day before checking out.

We don’t have a shuttle service.
It’s about seven minutes from Takayama Station on foot, and it takes about three minutes to come here by taxi.
When the weather is bad, we recommend you to walk under an arcade along the Kokubunji Street.

Room attendants will serve you in your guest rooms.
While we serve meals in private dining room when your group contains more than nine people or when you choose special plans, we won’t ask you to eat meal with other guests.
Please take your time to enjoy meal and conversation.

Since Japanese Kaiseki cuisine is made from several kinds of soup stock, we can’t chance soup stock and seasonings, or remove certain ingredients and seasonings.
If you have a severe allergy or need to remove food due to an allergy, please let us know in advance. We’ll do our best to meet your demand, but we may decline your request depending on the content.
Although we pay extra care to hygiene, we reuse tableware after washing them since we do not have a separate kitchen for each guests. We’d appreciate it if you could understand that.

Shipping of your luggage
We accept it at the reception desk.
In case if you send your luggage to Ryokan Tanabe before you arrive
Please make an inquiry in advance.
*We won’t receive cash on delivery luggage.
Please write following items on your shipping note.

Every room has a bath and a toilet.
* Baths in guest rooms don’t use water from a hot spring.
*Although the bath and the toilet are located separately as general, a small guest room in the main building has a bathroom that contains both the toilet and the bath.

You can use a safe in your guest room for free. Please keep valuables in it.

You can park a car per room. (Reservation in required)
Please input a type of your car when making a reservation. If your car is big, please let us know the size of your car (height, width, and length) as well.
Although we are located at the center of downtown and conveniently located to access sightseeing spots on foot, there are one-way streets and narrow roads near the building. Please be aware of that when you come to our inn by car.
*Depending on the size of your car, you may not be able to use our parking lot.
*If the car model is different from the one you indicated at the time of reservation, you may not be able to use our parking lot.

We don’t have a private hot spring (family bath).

You can use our bath.
However, we’d appreciate it if you could take a bath when there are any other guest in a bathroom if your tattoos are big.

In Takayama, we have snow from December to March every year.
We recommend you to put winter tires on your car.

We don’t allow pets to go inside our inn.

Smoking is not allowed on the premises.
Since we have a smoking area outside of the building, please move there if you want to smoke (including electronic cigarettes).

Although there is no curfew, you need to open/close the automatic door at the entrance manually between 11 pm - 7 am.
Please keep your key on your own until checking out.
